How sweet and special it was to take our son to his first day of church! We took him to our class and he slept through the entire thing-the one time in his life it will be acceptable for him to sleep through church! I had so much fun dressing him up in the cute outfit Wes's parents got him and shoes from my cousin Laura.


Afterwards, he pondered theology.

i like to move it, move it

a few shots from his exercise time today while we were working on physical therapy. it looks like he and the frog are dancing. i hope this doesn't "overstimulate" him which is what our pediatrician said is the newest theory to explain colic. ashton is unfortunately a very colicky baby from about 4-8 pm so that is why you have to shout if you call between those hours.

Isn't this a great ad for the back to sleep campaign? Ashton already turned over on his belly and I found him like this when he woke up this morning. Not to mention that his head is practically in the bumper. Great...

First Business Lunch

My friends Meg and Michelle from church also had babies the same week that Ashton was born, so today we all had lunch with the four weekers. You can tell it was quite successful and deals were made...From left: Luke, Ashton, and Audrey

Happy Birthday Wes!!!

Ashton and I joined Wes for lunch to celebrate his birthday today. When we got home, I got some great face shots of his quickly changing mood!

almost genius

Please alert Harvard...we have a genius baby. After just two days of working with him, Ashton is taking a nap with his head to the right which has not been the case because of his neck problem. So either he is a superfast learner or he is incredibly vain and overheard us discussing with the therapist that the left side of his head is in danger of getting flat. It could also be the cute PJ's my cousin Laura sent that he is wearing...oh shoot, he just moved left again...still more work to do.

Another Week of Firsts and Crappy Diapers

So we took our first family walk, gave Ashton his first real bath, had his first physical therapy appointment and he punched me out for the first time this week...just kidding. We also celebrated the anniversary of the day we met this week...for the first time with a screaming baby. This morning Wes was able to go with me to Ashton's therapy appointment. On the way there he commented that one month ago when we were getting ready to go somewhere in the morning, he would have been concerned about where we could go get breakfast together. Today Wes was concerned that Ashton had only one "good" Pampers diaper left and he got it dirty before we made it to the appointment. He had to wear a Huggies which tend to leak more. Concerns sure can change in just a few weeks...

Run's House

I don't know why MTV did a Run's House marathon today but am I the only one who has this guilty pleasure besides my brother? God is love...

Thank You Grandma and Mimi

Here are some pictures from our week with Wes' mom. I'm so thankful she was able to help me take Ashton to several doctor's appointments. We found a mass on his neck last weekend and had to see an ENT this week. It has turned out to be an injury to one of his neck muscles that should correct itself with physical therapy so we will be taking him soon. We're so thankful to everyone who has been praying for his diagnosis. Below are pictures from last week when my mom came to help.

Rocker from Birth

Thank you to both of our moms who have helped out the past two weeks. Uncle Patrick was also able to visit us and bought Ashton some rock n roll gifts. My crazy mama went to the Rod Stewart concert last week and bought this shirt-not your typical grandmother t-shirt!
