Last weekend, we celebrated the retirement of my band director and incredible teacher, Mr Alfred Watkins. My friends and I had been looking forward to this reunion for awhile. It was so fun to see so many high school band friends and their families. It brought back so many good memories and was nice to celebrate such an important part of all of our lives, thanks to Mr Watkins. There are no words to describe the impact he made on all of us! I filmed part of his speech and the final "closeout" which was how we ended each band practice and event. All the previous drum majors took the stage to lead the audience in the close out. It was very emotional!!
