This week at the York's...

Collin turned 2 months! He now weighs 10 pounds, 9 ounces!
He is starting to smile but mostly at the ceiling fan. This first picture shows him with his "sheep shirt" from Grandma. The other day, God directed me to read his Word on "Feed my sheep." Since I have said all I do is feed my boys, I thought this was pretty funny. I know for now I am doing His will and here are my sheep...

At least 2 out of 3 are dressed!

Ashton is very helpful to Collin. He loves "petting him" and tells me "Can you help him?" when his head slumps in his bouncy chair. Yesterday he told me Collin spit up and needed a washcloth. He also was enjoying putting his worm on Collin's head the other day when I was trying to take Collin's picture. (Fake fishing worm from a random fisherman at the park last weekend). As Wes said this week, "Ashton's a pretty laid back kid but Collin is cool as a cucumber." I guess he has to be...

A couple of random things Ashton has said lately...
-When we were driving and saw a construction site I told him they were building a new church so people could worship God and he said, "and eat crackers!" He loves the crackers at church.
-A few weeks ago Wes and I were outside the door to his room listening to him sing as he woke up. Finally he said, "Come on in the door guys!" I still can't figure out how he knew we were there!
-He has started saying some long sentences. Wes counted eight words one day and told me, "He just said an 8 word sentence." Ashton said, "yes...eight."
-I love that he is starting to use his imagination to make us birthday cakes out of legos and tell us to look up "at the helicopter on the ceiling" so he can tickle our necks. These boys are so fun!

The Verve's "Freshman" just came on the radio. Ashton heard him singing"e-yayayayayayeah" and he said, "Is he playing ee-i-ee-i-o?"

Baby Blue Eyes

Since I have just spit out so many blog posts trying to catch up I will post one more picture of sweet Collin yesterday. He's probably unsure about the quietness of our house because Ashton went to daycare after being out for over a week and then the day before we had spent the morning at the allergist for Ashton (thanks to my mom who came to help with the extra long appointment). So the past two days have been just me and newborn baby snuggles!

Also special shout out to our other newborn baby cousin Grayson who was born Sunday to my cousin Laura! We can't wait to meet you!

Thank you God for the football game

Last Friday I took the boys to their first GAC game of the year. My grandfather came with us. Ashton loved it although he was quiet the whole time but talked about it all the way home and the next day. The boys were decked out in Spartan gear and Ashton got a glow necklace he loved because it was "Neon day" at the school. He asked where he could put it when we got home, so we hung it on his bedpost for the night. When I put him to bed as we were saying prayers he chimed in for the first time. He interrupted my prayer and said, "thank you God for the football game" What a sweet first little boy's prayer! I immediately called my dad who was thrilled!

Happy 30th Birthday Daddy!

We celebrated Wes' 30th birthday with lunch at work and hung out awhile on his campus. Before we left, Ashton asked to hold Collin and for me to take a picture. This is him "kissing"Collin. He wants to kiss him and hold him all the time now!

Wes and his boys at 30!!!

Jesus Loves the Little Children

Last week was Collin's first time at church. He wore the same sweet outfit that Ashton wore his first day of church from their Grandma. Later that day, we went to my grandparents for dinner with my family. My cousin Heather and her 4 month old daughter, Maddie, and husband Matt were there. We had fun with a photo shoot of the cousins. Maddie kept placing her hand in Ashton's "lap" and it cracked us all up!! Ashton loved being the oldest and holding these adorable babies. Here are the three cuties at 4 mos, 2 years and 6 weeks and the church pictures below.

Ashton, by the way, really enjoys church but every time I ask if he learns about Jesus, he says no! He has started saying yes just to appease me I think. About a month ago I was trying to teach him a lesson on talking nicely (a lesson he gets daily now). When I reminded him that God likes it when we talk nicely to one another he said, "Yes...at church."

ZOO... at home and away!

Recently we went to UGA alumni day at the zoo with my parents (which explains all the GA spirit). The highlight was the new baby giraffe-so cute and the gorilla playing with the laundry basket!!

Collin's First Zoo trip!

I'm still trying to figure out exactly when Ashton put these in Collin's cradle the other day! He must have thought he looked bored...
