Shower time!

Thank you to my sweet cousin Heather and her mom for throwing us a family baby shower. It was so fun and once again we are so grateful. Here are a few pictures from the day. More to come when I get my mom's pics. My cousin and I are posing in the first one with a travel wipes warmer, a gift Wes thinks is way excessive and we have teased him about it ever since we registered. The second is of the soon-to-be-grandmothers and great-grandmothers and the third is Wes' mom and me with part of the "travel system!"

New Milestones

Wes and I had our first shower this weekend at his school and were overcome by the generosity of all the students and teachers. Ashton has everything he could possibly want now! We quickly had to take stuff to storage because it took over our condo when we are trying to show it. Here are a couple pictures from the day. I also was surprised to get Mother's Day breakfast at Panera and several sweet mommy-to-be cards! The weekend was pretty overwhelming but very fun!

Haley and I just saw something amazing on our walk. We have a blind lady in our complex who had a guide dog that died last year. It was so sad, but she just got a new one and we met it today. I think she flew out to California to get it. She was walking with it and a man, who looked to be a trainer, was walking several feet behind her with a long pole. Guide dogs have always amazed me, especially since they are mostly labs. In my parents' short time with their lab, she busted through 2 or 3 crates, dragged ink pens and salt shakers through the house, and ate whole sticks of butter-kind of like Marley if you've read Marley and Me-wonderful book!

Our dog got to sleep with us last night. I think it was pity sleep because she will soon be taking a back seat to Ashton...but we are negotiating on our house right now so maybe she'll have a yard soon! Anyway, dogs are so great and if my husband would let me I would have ten...

We love our educators

I love teacher appreciation week. Thank you GAC moms and dads for the excellent cookies and muffins and giftcards to Coldstone. I think Wes enjoyed the one cookie he got to eat too.
