We "celebrated?" Ashton's 9 month birthday today with breakfast at Corner Bakery and then introducing the sippy cup which was a nightmare. Let's just say our little guy isn't much for change! I think most of the day he thought turning 9 months stinks until this evening when he went for a wagon ride with an "older woman", Lacie, from his class at church at our Sunday school class cookout. Look out Audrey!Last night we went to Ashton's first of many GAC band banquets. We were so excited to introduce the band to Wes's new assistant band director, Robert, and his wife, Jennifer, and 9 month old son Nicklas. Nicklas and Ashton hit it off right away with a screaming contest while Wes spoke and Jennifer and I spent the rest of the evening entertaining them in a back room. I think the football games will be a lot more fun this year! Nicklas is four days older than Ashton but has been crawling for months and was eating Cheerios and cheese and drinking from a sippy cup...hence Ashton's birthday celebration today with his own sippy cup.

Ashton - hanging out with another woman?? We'll just have to have some playdates this summer, then. I'm pretty good at feeding the ducks, too!
