Wow! This sweet little guy turns 8 months old today!
Look at these sweet cheeks I get to kiss everyday. He sure does enjoy life. Always in a good mood, Collin is loving playing with his toys while sitting up and watching his brother at all times. He cracks us up with his loud screaming. Our babysitter says he certainly wants to be heard which is a little different than Ashton at that age! We have had such a busy March and I am thankful for a calm weekend to catch up on stuff and blog! Here are a lot of photos!!!
This week the ducks returned to our pool. Ashton loves watching them. Yesterday he asked me if we could give them a beach ball to play with in the water. He also can't wait to swim and asked me,"mommy, do you and me want to walk outside and look at the pool?" He also loved eating some smores the other night. I made them with some vegan chocolate chips and they were a hit!
Yesterday Ashton and I cracked up while I was changing his diaper and Collin woke up from a nap. We looked up and saw him peeking out of his crib. He also loves to pull the bumper down to get a better view. He cracks us up and I love that Ashton gets the humor in what Collin does! Ashton has such an adult sense of humor. We read a really silly book from the library where a mama bunny is feeding her baby and it had phrases like "uppa uppa, time for suppa" and Ashton was cracking up at the goofiness. Sometimes I think he doesn't realize he's a kid! A few weeks ago at church I asked if he got a turn on the slide. He said, "No, because of all the children at that church!"
Last week the boys and I went to a Touch a Truck in Kennsaw with my parents and Kate and her mom and James since George and Wes were both working. We had so much fun!
Here's A in a policecar-although he could have, I didn't want him sitting in the back of that one! Here he is riding a school bus. He adores these sunglasses by the way. They're Thomas glasses from my cousin Heather who he also adores. They end up sliding down his face a lot though as you can tell!
Not sure what this guy thought of the hot day and loud kids and trucks!
James looking so cute in his overalls
Driving a school bus with his "Hey kids- you quiet down" look
Kate and me with our boys. It's hard to believe we've been friends since fourth grade! After Touch a Truck we went to visit my aunt, uncle, cousin Laura and our new cousin Grayson who is 2 mos younger than Collin! I couldn't help myself from posting all these fun pictures. These two are too cute together and will be buddies!

The day before that, the boys and I went to visit my grandparents and went to a park near their house and flew a kite for the first time. I knew my grandfather would enjoy showing Ashton how to fly a kite. Unfortunately, it wasn't windy enough and after a little while Ashton announced, "I think...I'm done."
Collin watching Ashton play with his great-grandparents
This was St Patrick's Day. What can we say...we have an uncle named Patrick so it's always been a fun day! We spent time outside and made green chocolate chip cookies (here's my plug for Cherrybrook Kitchen delicious allergen free mixes!) We've been spending a lot of time outside on my days off since it's been so nice and we have some construction going on in our complex. There's a tractor so Ashton loves to watch it although he is very careful not to get close and when he hears the beeps that it's backing up our direction, Ashton tells me we should move and that "The man on tv says to be careful around tractors" from his "All about Tractors" DVD he loves.
These last pics are from a few weeks ago. Heather and Maddie came to visit and we spent the afternoon at my other grandparents with them. Here's Collin sleeping with his "paci" He's never taken one but likes to put his finger through the hole.
Here are the three great grandkids having a ball. Ashton loves going to GiGi and Pop's. They always have special treats for him like glow necklaces and bubbles. If you've read the blog, you know he LOVES those glow necklaces!
And here's Maddie in her hometown of Savannah the previous weekend! I dropped the boys off with Wes' parents and went to Savannah to be with Wes and his kids for All State band. I had such a fun time shopping and being by myself and with Wes and his students. I got to spend lots of time with Heather, Matt, and Maddie. Here we are in a park trying to keep Maddie from munching on leaves. She is such a cutie!!!
