A's learning new words and hard lessons

Going to the grocery store yesterday, I pleaded as usual"Ashton PLEASE hurry up and buckle up"
Ashton, "Stop entertaining me!"
I had to laugh. And then when we were checking out I told him not to ask for a sticker because last time the bagger seemed a little annoyed at him when he asked. I am trying to teach him to just wait for the worker to give him one but he tells me, "But when I wait, they don't do it." He was so right! He spotted the stickers and whispered to me, "They have them" but he never asked. I was so proud but the bagger never offered him one! In fact, she was rude when I asked her to get a second cart for the groceries since once they are bagged, I cannot fit all the boys and the sacks in one cart. Then she asked if I needed help out as if I might be able to push 2 carts by myself. Then when we got outside and I told her I could unload everything myself she rolled her eyes at me and said OK. I was so angry at her for Ashton but he learned an important lesson and even told Wes, "mommy said the lady was not very nice. She was in a bad mood so I didn't get a sticker." All I could think was that I should have grabbed ten for him myself!! But then I felt guilty and thought she was probably a teen who needed Jesus. We did make some vegan ice cream cones when we got home though since he was so good!
