I usually get comments from patients about how young I am, like, "Are you even old enough to drive?" A few weeks ago, I had a patient who was brought in by his grandparents. When I was still in the exam room, the grandfather said to his wife, "I didn't know we were getting a Punky Brewster doctor today!" Do I look like Punky Brewster? I actually really liked her show when I was little so maybe I'll take it as a compliment.

how funny! people say similar stuff to me a lot too...when i was preggie with benji this girl who was cutting my hair asked me what high school i went to...i loved punky brewster too!
That's so funny! Tony & I went to a high school for Tony to speak, and I offered to take one of the girls to the bathroom, and she asked what grade I was in b/c she hadn't seen me at the school. When I told her that I was almost 30, she was like, "OH, I thought you go here!"
