Temper, Temper

Our babysitter told us that Ashton threw his first temper tantrum this week! Apparently, he got stuck between two walls in a walker and couldn't get out. He screamed and turned red in the face and shook his fists. It took awhile to calm him down and finally another kid at his daycare brought him a toy to calm him down. The babysitter's husband says, "he doesn't do anything he doesn't want to..." She said it was hilarious and keeps asking who he gets that from??!Unfortunately, this is not the first time he has done this. I wonder what that means for the terrible twos when your child has a temper at 8 months?

First Haircut

After much begging, Wes agreed to have Ashton's hair trimmed and he said he would do it. I think next time we'll have a pro do it...

Three Things

1.Wes just told me he has decided where we are going out to dinner next time we eat out since he heard an ad on the radio. http://www.thisisitbbq.com/loc.html. What a lucky girl I am!!
2.I wanted to post pictures of a tree that fell down beside our building yesterday with all the high winds. I couldn't believe it and am so thankful it didn't fall the other way which would have been towards our home!
3. I admitted to my brother last weekend that the day I thought would never come... has come. I want a minivan. Odyssey, Sienna, Quest? These are the names we throw around at the York house. We've talked about it for awhile and today we found out our friends the Fosters got one yesterday! How things change...a few years ago all I talked about was how I wanted a BMW when I graduated PA school and got my high paying PA job. That was before I decided I really wanted to work part-time in family practice in Dawsonville, GA. I do love my job though and the time I can spend with Ashton. So now...I want to be stylin' in my minivan so I can pack up all the groceries and diapers I buy in bulk!

Happy Easter!

1 Corinthians 15:19 says, "If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men." I had never really thought much about this verse until yesterday when we focused on it at church in the sermon and in our class. Many people do pity us as Believers but the next verse says, "But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead..." I am so thankful we serve a risen Lord and we pray that our son will know the true meaning of Easter at an early age! We had a wonderful first Easter with Ashton-here are some pictures of our day.

Spring Break

Last weekend we went to Augusta to visit Wes's family and had such a great visit. The weather was really nice so we spent a lot of time outside. Ashton got his first UGA hat from his cousin Edwin and adored spending time with him! Here are a few pictures of his first spring break!
