| Starting with St Patrick's Day |
I took Collin out for his first ice cream at Bruster's since he doesn't get to eat it much around Ashton. We needed some one on one time. I don't think he knew what to think being just the two of us but he really liked the chocolate!
| My date fell asleep on the ride home! |
| Ashton and my mom made green brownies to enjoy! |
| Shirt from my brother that all 3 have now worn! |
| Visit from Wes' sister Melanie and our nephew Edwin. This photo cracked us all up! Those boys had so much fun making fart noises although mine don't really know what they are imitating yet. I wish I could keep them that way! |
| We took them to Sim's Lake park which is where we like to go all the time now. We're so thankful to have such great parks nearby! We really love where we live |
Spring Break started with my dear friend, Kim's wedding at Frogtown winery. It was beautiful!
| Headed to church one day looking so sweet! Ashton is wearing his new allergy bracelet I got him. It's a kid's medical bracelet from Allerbling that is great but a little big on him. We're trying to get him used to wearing it. |
Wes and I had a date day on Spring Break...with Embry. we had breakfast at Flying Biscuit, did a little car shopping, and went to Piedmont Park and MaryMac's Tea Room. The older boys were at daycare. It was such a nice day. We have similar pictures of Ashton at Piedmont Park when he was little.
Next day of Spring Break we went to the Children's Museum which was great!! We had never been. The boys LOVED it especially this cool ball contraption!
Collin really liked this thing too. He seems to enjoy art more than Ashton which is fun and I need to foster it more. He'll sit and color longer than Ashton already!
| Do I look stressed? I think I just look SO. SO. TIRED!! |
| They had a fork lift and delivery truck that the boys loved! |
| Sweet embry sleeping |
| GIANT Tinker toys!! |
| Lunch at Centennial Park afterwards was so fun and worth the time it took to pack!!Having an allergy kiddo takes more thought than anyone will ever know. I really can't imagine just planning on going through a drive thru to get lunch. |
| Collin kisses Embry constantly. I think he saw Ashton do it in the hospital and thought "that's what you do with him." plus he likes our reaction and always tells us "kiss emby mommy" when he does it to make sure we know. |
| Uncle Patrick spent the night on Good Friday. we had a blast and went to Lake Lanier for a short and freezing cold picnic! |
Last week I encouraged Ashton to build a train track in our foyer. It's one thing I miss about the condo; he would build track everywhere and was so creative on the floor. I'm very thankful for our playroom and train table, but they take away from him building elaborate sprawling tracks. He had fun doing this and having Embry watch.Collin got into it too!
| Sweet baby after his second time at church. First was Easter and I'll post those later. |
| trying to catch a smile on camera! They are few and far between right now. I have a couple days a week with just Embry when the older 2 are at daycare so I try to take more photos those days. |
| yogurt face. Collin is still the messiest eater! |
| outfit that's not a hand me down from his brothers! |
Last week I took all 3 boys to visit their great-grandparents. To Tyrone was quite a trip for us. When we got back I was hoarse from singing to keep them from whining and/or crying in the car. It was a great visit though. I brought some casein and nitrate free hot dogs from Whole Foods I found with Ashton and we picked strawberries at a local farm after lunch.
| sweet photo |
The scenery was gorgeous and I took a ton of photos! I love this one of Ashton.
The boys did not want to stop picking...especially Collin. I don't think we'll be able to eat all we got!
I'm loving my new baby carrier for Embry. I've never used one that much but now am forced to!
Collin wanted no help carrying his bucket. He's wanting to be so independent like his brother these days.
This weekend we went to the Sugar Hill TouchATruck. It was great having an event like this right down the street and was much less crowded than Decatur and Marietta ones we've been to but still had lots of trucks!! Here are the boys on a tractor trailer. Ashton told me next year we need to get on the back trailer. He liked seeing the bed in the back!
| Embry sleeping again. He gets dragged everywhere but just sleeps through it, even the sirens and honks! |
| An awesome 1953 fire engine! |
| And yet another picture of tired mama trying to herd these boys. Why does every photo look like this? |
twins. I showed this to Ashton and he said, "Thats's when I was sad that we couldn't go on that playground" although we had just been on another playground and a ton of trucks!
So there you have it. Having 3 kids is a piece of cake and all we do is have fun! haha in between the billion loads of laundry, sleepless nights, a very gassy infant and brother fights and arguing over toys. Besides our Tyrone trip, I have taken the boys to the library twice and ChickFilA on my own. Chick filA was the craziest since Ashton also had to go to the bathroom but we made it ...with the help of the manager opening doors and looking at me with pity. They are so accommodating with Ashton as well and for that I am most grateful! He loves going there.
We also got yet another large family car last week. Wes bought it while I had the kids at ChickFilA. Our Camry couldn't fit three car seats so we now have a Mazda 5 which we love. So now we have a minivan and what they call a compact minivan! last week Ashton had his first dentist appointment and I showed him how he could get into the car from the back hatch and he LOVES it!
In other news Wes has caught 2 squirrels and taken them to a nearby park that we hope are the ones we occasionally are hearing in our attic. We did find out that we have a neighbor who does Squirrel Rescue so we are hoping they don't catch on to our trap. It is a humane one though! |
