Fourth Meal
It finally happened. The moment I've been waiting for ever since Blakely's been pregnant: Fourth Meal. (notice the confused customer in the window)

Wes saves the day
Poor Wes hasn't gotten a lot of attention on the blog lately but he and Joy have been working so hard with little sleep on grad school which is finally coming to a close. Here's one good story...Last Friday I woke up to see our pool had been drained and I was heartbroken because we have already been enjoying it this summer since I am always so hot. Apparently they had to fix something and then this week they refilled it...thank goodness. While refilling, they left four hoses turned on all night and had chained the gate to the pool so no one could get in. The next morning when I woke up the hoses were still going and the pool was filled to the brim. A couple of hours later neighbors turned off a few of the hoses but one was still going and the pool was overflowing. Wes was home so he hopped the gate and saved the day! I wish I had been home to get a picture-here's how it looked that night-pretty full!
Wonderful Weekend
Last weekend was so special for us! Friday night I spent with my good friends Heather and Sarah. Heather had flown in from Boston for my shower on Saturday and we had not seen her in 6 mos! I realized this was longer than I had ever been without seeing her since the eighth grade when we became friends! Thank you so much H for coming down just to celebrate Ashton!! Saturday my sweet friends Kate and Margaret gave us a shower and it was a mini high school reunion with all our girlfriends and moms-we had so much fun! Saturday night our friends Chris and Katy came to stay with us for a shower on Sunday. We ate at their favorite Chinese restaurant Little Szechuan and finally got to experience the servers bringing us potstickers and green beans "on the house." It was the best Chinese I have ever had and I'm sure we will be going back. It was so fun to have Chris and Katy stay with us since they have moved and we miss them! We were sure to stock up on skim, 1%, and 2% milk-haha. Sunday after church Katy and I drove to Marietta where my aunt Jeannie and cousin Laura gave us another beautiful shower; it was so memorable to have so many special women in one room. I'm so thankful the Lord has surrounded me with so many Godly friends and role models. The whole weekend meant so much to me!

Finishing Week Thirty
It is really hot but I don't think I look that miserable yet. Monday I walked into a store and the lady at the counter said, "Bless your heart..." and then Wednesday Wes and I went to Starbucks and the first thing the guy behind the counter said was, "we're having trouble with our bathroom right now."
No random guy this time at the pool! This is the view from our porch...isn't it pretty? Please buy our condo!!!!haha

June so far...
We celebrated my cousin Laura last weekend with a wedding shower and graduation party! Here are some pictures. Today Wes started his last semester of grad school. I was shunned for not taking a first day of school picture like our friend Scott took of Joy who is heading to Athens with Wes to finish her masters also. So here's a picture of what his first day of school looks like while doing his homework tonight. Yesterday Wes told me he was buying spiral notebooks and I thought...when we will not be buying spiral notebooks? Since he is considering continuing with school and will probably be done just in time for Ashton to start, I guess we will always be buying them! My week has been interesting. I had a drug seeker come in who I caught in his lie, a toddler pee all over the exam table and floor while I was trying to insert a catheter in her, and a guy who took the cough so seriously during a hernia check that he spit some phlegm across the room and it landed on my nurse's arm. Other than that, my nausea has come back a little which is annoying but I can live with it for only 10 more weeks!
