Dog Sleepover and Sunshine!

What a big boy!

First time playing with a stick!

Sleepy baby after a long hike!

The Goldens came to visit last weekend and brought their new puppy, Eva! The Sullivans stopped by and brought Georgie so the three had a little sniffing fest. Ashton enjoyed having them! We had such a great visit and then on Sunday enjoyed the beautiful weather at the park with my parents.

Pink Eye and Rashes Stink

We like to go against the norm...believe it or not Ashton may be allergic to sweet potatoes which is pretty unusual. So we're back on the milk only diet which breastmilkaholics prefer anyway. Since I was trained so well at Emory to document everything, I will document so he can see years from now that yesterday I was up at 3:30 am pumping milk for him so he will have enough to eat. Craziness.
Also got pink eye after going for his 6th month check-up.
Good news though...he won't have to wear a helmet! Special shout out to First Baptist Church of Tucker Senior Adult Women's Sunday school class who has been praying very hard thanks to my grandmother! It is truly an answer to prayer! Here are some pictures from this week of him doing some physical therapy on his workout ball (actually my mom AKA Mimi's workout ball).

BA Meetings

"My name is Ashton and I'm a breastmilkaholic."We attempted to give Ashton his first bottle of formula this week and as I mentioned, he threw it all up. We tried again with breast milk added but he is not fooled... lips shut, body arched, and head flailing he will have none of it. So right now I'm nursing for 45 minutes which is a long time! With him growing so much and while working, I can't seem to keep up with him and need to be able to supplement with some formula! It's actually pretty stressful. Not only that, but he is not liking the rice cereal either. In fact, he spits it out...all over us! It was hard not to laugh at first and I also tried a firm, "NO" but it doesn't seem to phase him. He has already been to Swaddler's Anonymous as our friend Nan called it when she realized he was still being swaddled for sleeping at five months. Well this week with his six month b'day, I think we broke the habit! We started swaddling him and leaving one arm out, then both, and now he sleeps in a sleep blanket, arms free. I just hope Breast milk Anonymous goes as well as the swaddlers. Tonight I am attempting to make my first babyfood-sweet potatoes. I am hoping to make all of his food but we'll see how it goes. I hope he likes it better than the rice since the orange probably stains when he spits it on us!
