Maddie, Mothers and Walks in the Rain

Ashton's new baby cousin and my "niece" Madelynn was born and we got to see her this weekend!! Isn't this a sweet photo with mommy, my cousin Heather?
Last weekend, we spent some time in Augusta and went to our favorite spot, the canal to take a walk.

There were ducks in our pool last week before it opened. They hung out every night and just swam. It was so fun to watch but I haven't seen them this week since the pool opened!

My sweet little monkey on Mother's Day! Only 10 more weeks until we have two little monkeys!!! This weekend, Wes and I went to the Norah Jones concert which was my birthday gift this year and Collin seemed to love it. He is a kicker!
Today Ashton and I were walking Haley and it started pouring rain on us. I kept trying to get him to walk faster but he was really enjoying it. Haley started running back and he was trying to keep up yelling, "I dunno, Raining! Raining! Haley 'scited!!!" No picture, but it was too funny!

A Few Requests

So last week Ashton woke up in the middle of the night which is very unusual. I let him cry a bit and then checked on him. He had a few requests...
1. "Mommy, I want policeman" This is his Little People police "officer" which is actually a woman but we call him policeman with a ponytail and Ashton loves him!
2. "Diaper change" It took me awhile to get over this but yes, he actually asked for a diaper change! I think that means it's time to pottytrain!
3. "See Daddy" We went to see daddy who was asleep but had been gone when I put Ashton to bed that night.
4. "Wanna Rock" so I said, "Ok for a minute" Then he fell back asleep.

Now tonight before bed he says, "Mommy, I wanna rock a minute" I couldn't believe it! So we rocked in our tiny rocker which is not an easy task because it's also with Collin (who was jumping around the whole time), Big Bird, Teddy Bear, Police"man", and Police Doggy who holds a stop sign. It sure is fun having a boy who knows what he wants!

Beth Moore

Stole this picture from my cousin Laura's blog-we went with our moms to see Beth Moore speak last weekend. Laura is also pregnant and found out today she is having a boy too-Grayson! Grayson and Collin will be about 6 weeks apart! I think it is funny that our grandparents will now have three great-grandsons because they had three boys of their own (our dads). Can't wait to see them with the boys!

Our March and April...

Here are some pictures from March and April.
Today Ashton and I tagged along with Wes and his band kids that he took to Six Flags. Ashton had a ball at the Truck Ride, Hanson cars, and Thomas the Train but did not like other things and screamed, "DOWN, DOWN" on some high swings. He cried also when the truck ride was over! When we left the park he asked me, "Fun Day mommy?" I guess I had been asking him that question all day!

Here is a picture from spring break when Grandma and Papa visited for a day

Random spaghetti night photo
Papa and Wes installed a new garbage disposal while Ashton helped. Flashlights are his new fav toy.

Here is a visit from my bro, Uncle P-Mo. We all went to Henderson Park for a hike.

This is Touch a Truck Day in Decatur. They have a ton of trucks, firetrucks, police cars, and tractors for the kids to get in and play. Ashton is still talking about it. He LOVED it!!!I'm sure we will be back next year with Collin too!

Here are a few photos from my cousin Heather'sbaby shower that my mom and I gave. We had such a great time and the cake we ordered was so pretty! We can't wait for Madelynn Frances next month!!

Believe it or not, Heather and I wore the same maternity shirt!! Here we are with my Grandmother.

Here we are on the way home from Savannah, stuffed animal in each hand. He sleeps with about 5 every night and names them one by one if they are not there! Wes had two kids in Allstate band this year so Ashton and I went along and stayed with his sister and parents in Savannah. We stopped off at Tybee so I could get my beach fix on the way home.

Happy Easter!

"Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him!" Psalm 33:8

Yesterday we celebrated after church with my family and Ashton had a ball with his first egg hunt-or ball hunt as he called them! I thought this was appropriate considering eggs are not part of his diet anyway! He also got lots of dairy free cookies and treats (thank you Starbucks for now carrying Lucy's cookies!!!!), bubbles, books, a stuffed bunny, and sidewalk chalk. Being the only baby, he was definitely the center of attention for the last time since we have three more babies coming to my family this year. In fact, Collin seems to be hopping like a bunny himself lately. He is also making me gain too much weight as my doctor keeps reminding me (had another visit today) Here I am at almost 23 weeks-

Thomas the Train, raisins, Lucy's cookies and brown sugar Ritz were a big hit from Mimi and Denny! He had his hands full of raisin boxes just in case they were not all his to keep!

And his name shall be....

Collin Joseph York!!!

We both love the name Collin and we want our children to have Biblical middle names. We chose Joseph because when we first moved back to our condo, Wes and I were both feeling frustrated and discouraged. We know God has a plan for us but don't understand it yet at all and even though we are so thankful to have a home, it's hard on our family for me to be so far from work and spend so mant hours in the car three days a week. We were flipping through channels one night and found Charles Stanley speaking on Joseph. We truly felt God was speaking to us, reminding us of how he uses such difficult circumstances for good in the end. Joseph was betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, accused of a sinful act he did not commit and thrown into prison. But he trusted in God and God's hand was on him the entire way. In the end he was able to provide for his people and family in the famine. We pray that both of our boys will also always have God's hand on their lives and trust in Him no matter their circumstances. We can't wait to meet you Collin Joseph!!

"Can we find anyone like this man [Joseph], one in whom is the spirit of God?" Genesis 41:38
